Andromeda: Register, Resolve, Go!

THE 72-HOUR REGISTRATION AND RESOLUTION CONTEST

Here it is: We're suckers for giveaways and resolutions, as you can probably tell.

The challenge: pick a writing class and register online by Saturday at noon. Then write us a short message telling us how that class is going to help you with a New Year's writing or reading resolution. (Send to lax@alaska.net by Saturday at noon to qualify.) We'll print your statement at the blog, so please be willing to share.

Responses received in the next 72 hours will be tossed in a hat. The winner receives his or her choice: a beautiful signed Winterlake Lodge cookbook by board member and instructor Kirsten Dixon, our "Stirring Words" teacher.

OR a signed copy of Dark Song, a chilling young adult thriller by Gail Giles, called by Kirkus Reviews "the queen of YA thrillers." (She's also a friend of 49 Writers.) We know we have a lot of aspiring YA writers out there -- witness how many have signed up for our February clinic with agent Kendra Marcus.

Good luck!
